Arthur G. Chang, President and CEO
Arthur G. Chang brings over 15 years of hi-tech executive experience to PanTerra Networks. Mr. Chang, a Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur, has contributed at the senior executive level to several companies in the valley that have experienced growth and success. Prior to PanTerra Networks, Mr. Chang was the CEO of Cradle Technologies, a multi-core multimedia DSP company. Prior to Cradle, Mr. Chang was CEO of SoloPoint Communications, a provider of telecommunications equipment to the RBOCs and Telcos. Mr. Chang grew the company over several years culminating in an IPO event. Prior to SoloPoint, Mr. Chang held various executive management positions with companies in the storage, server and remote access market places. Mr. Chang started his career at Bell Laboratories in Naperville, IL.
Throughout his career, Mr. Chang has worked closely with several silicon valley venture capitalists as a consultant and analyst. Mr. Chang's expertise is in helping companies recruit top talent, setting corporate and product strategies, and raising capital in preparation for rapid growth.
Mr. Chang received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University, his M.S. degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an Executive MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Thomas Muise, Chief Financial Officer
Thomas Muise has over twenty one years of experience in senior financial roles with high technology companies. Prior to PanTerra, Mr. Muise served as CFO and VP of Finance of Knova Software, a leading provider of service resolution management applications. Prior to Knova, Mr. Muise served as CFO and VP of Operations for Embrace Networks, an enterprise software platform provider, and as CFO and VP of Finance of Solopoint, a provider of marketing technologies and communications services for the broadband market. Prior to these positions, Mr. Muise served as Senior Director, Corporate Financial Planning, Analysis and Systems for Synopsys, a supplier of electronic design automation. Mr. Muise served in various finance positions for Tandem Computers during his 12 years of service to the company, last serving as Director of Finance, Nonstop Software business unit.
Mr. Muise graduated cum laude from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in economics and earned his master of business administration, with honors, from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
Robert P. Mainor, Executive VP, Business Development and Operations
Robert P. Mainor has over 20 years of senior level executive experience in the communications industry. Mr. Mainor has held strategic roles in marketing, sales, business development and operations and is considered a key pioneer in bringing VoIP to the masses. Prior to his appointment as EVP, Mr. Mainor was the co-founder and COO of SunRocket where he grew the subscriber base from 0 to over 200,000 in less than 18 months. Prior to SunRocket, Mr. Mainor was the President of Xpedite Systems, a $200M multi-modal communications services company. Prior to Xpedite, Mr. Mainor held senior executive positions with COLT Telecom Plc, Bell Atlantic and Compuserve.
Mr. Mainor holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in economics and statistics from Auburn University.
Andrew J. Pryfogle, VP, Sales
Andrew J. Pryfogle has over 20 years of sales leadership experience with expertise in hosted communications services. Prior to PanTerra, Mr. Pryfogle was the VP of Channel Sales for Covad Communications, where he grew recurring revenue for Covad voice services by 104% in 2006. Mr. Pryfogle joined Covad from the acquisition of GoBeam, an early pioneer of hosted IP communications services for business, where he launched GoBeam’s channel distribution model. Prior to that, Mr. Pryfogle held senior level sales leadership positions at New Edge Networks, Oasys Telecom, Phoenix Fiberlink, North Star Telecommunications, and MCI Telecommunications.
Ming Shao, Director, Marketing
Ming Shao has over 15 years of product marketing and product management experience in the high tech communications industry. Prior to PanTerra, Ms. Shao was Senior Product Marketing Manager at Openwave, where she managed all adaptive messaging products. Prior to Openwave, Ms. Shao was senior product manager for VOIP services at Covad Communications where she helped launch the hosted VOIP service for Covad. Earlier in her career, Ms. Shao was one of the pioneers at China Telecom in deploying China's nationwide Internet backbone network and services (ChinaNet) in 30 provinces, which had become one of the largest and fastest growing IP communications services network in the world. Ms. Shao also held various senior marketing positions at Times Consulting, empowerTel Networks (acquired by IP Unity) and Ericsson.
Ms. Shao holds a bachelor’s degree from Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications in China and a master’s degree from Coventry University in England.
Rakesh Dubey, SVP, Research and Development
Rakesh Dubey has over 15 years of experience in senior software management, engineering and strategic direction setting. He oversees all product development, technical strategy and quality assurance for PanTerra. Mr. Dubey has extensive carrier level networking and communications experience. Prior to PanTerra Networks, Mr. Dubey spent over 10 years in various technical management positions at Cisco Systems, most recently as Director of Software for Cisco's Carrier Class Routers, where his product line generated over $1B in revenue per year. Mr. Dubey managed over 100 engineers world-wide. Prior to Cisco, Mr. Dubey was one of the software engineers at Granite Systems, a multi-layer Gigabit Ethernet switch startup that was acquired by Cisco. Prior to Granite, Mr. Dubey was a software engineer at Steve Jobs' NeXT, Inc. for four years.
Mr. Dubey holds a bachelor's degree in technology with honors in computer science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT) and a master’s degree in computer science from Washington State University.
Richard FitzGerald, VP, Support
Richard L. FitzGerald has been a successful executive for over 25 years with extensive experience in operations, quality assurance, product development, contract negotiations and joint venture business development. Mr. FitzGerald has worked for large OEM companies including IBM Corporation, Texas Instruments, and International Telephone and Telegraph. Additionally, Mr. FitzGerald was President of a privately held Electronic Manufacturing Services company managing and directing sales, marketing, operations, procurement and quality. Mr. FitzGerald spearheaded the company reorganization which led to improved customer relationship management, record sales and profitability. During his tenure, the company achieved the "Top 50 Fastest Growing Private Company" in Silicon Valley award three consecutive years.
Mr. FitzGerald received his B.S. in Electronic Engineering from DeVry University and his M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Houston.
